Do NOT order from Tech Ventures. I'm writing this initial review with pictures that I took during the unboxing to document and show the condition as it was received. I will be returning this laptop back to the seller ASAP. To sell and send a product like this to anyone is completely unacceptable even for something that is considered to be refurbished or renewed. I am also an I.T. tech and I deal with, fix, and repair all types of end user laptops, desktops, peripherals and all sorts of IoT devices so I know what to look for. Personally a device in this condition would never get sent to one of my customers.Positives: Shipment of the laptop came extremely quickly. I received the laptop a full day earlier than the anticipated delivery date which was great. The item was also securely packaged. Unfortunately the positives end here.Negatives: There were more than several. Upon opening the box I expected to receive an item in the condition that was listed and this was NOT the case. I knew once I saw the condition of the power adapter I had a feeling there would be an issue with the laptop (see the included pictures). The power adapter cable definitely appeared to be used and marred up. The prongs were noticeably bent. Of course that's no big deal, it's only a charger right? I was sorely let down when I inspected this laptop further.The listing says that this is an Amazon renewed item that would be fully functional and in excellent condition, professionally inspected, tested and cleaned by Amazon qualified vendors and that it would be in "Excellent" condition. This renewed laptop is far from that and should have been marked in poor condition (see included pictures). Description also says that the screen and body show no signs of cosmetic damage visible from 12 inches away. For this laptop that is NOT the case. It is scratched, scuffed and marred on all sides from the top of the lid to the bottom underside cover to the sides. This laptop appears to have been dropped on the right corner (major scuffs are apparent. See pictures.) Also the screen appears to have been separated from were it meets at the bottom between the hinges. Clearly someone either removed the screen to repair or do maintenance and bent or dented it at the bottom where it meets. When the laptop is open you can see the bend and you can see it when it is closed from the back hinge. After turning it around to the rear you can clearly see the separation.All in all there are just too many external physical defincies with this laptop for anyone to even feel confident about using it. I did not even attempt to turn it on due to that. It really does look like it was just thrown in a box and shipped. For a listing that says a product is renewed and state that it is in "Excellent" condition with no cosmetic damage visible is clearly 100% MISLEADING!Taking a chance on this product and this seller even after reading more than a handful of less than stellar recent comments. The info stating that it would be backed by the Amazon Renewed Guarantee and refund I do hope they stand by that. I have already started the return process and will gladly leave updated feedback when the return is complete.
